To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday)
- phone us on 01548 842284, Monday to Friday, when we are open
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when we are open
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Routine appointments
To request a routine appointment or make an admin enquiry
- fill in an online form. We will review your form and book you an appointment depending on the care you need.
- phone us on 01548 842284, Monday to Friday, when we are open. A receptionist will either send you a link to the form for you to fill in, or fill one out for you using information you give us.
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when we are open. A receptionist will help you fill in an online form to request an appointment.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with. We may fill in an online form for you using information you give us.

Your appointment
However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone – please advise us in the form when you will/will not be available to take the call
- face to face at the surgery – you will be given an allotted time.
- by text or email.
Appointments by phone or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
To cancel your appointment:
- phone us on 01548 842284, Monday to Friday, when we are open
- email the practice on d-icb.enquiriessalcombe@nhs.net
- fill in an online form
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when we are open
We have extended hours available on the following days:
- Alternate Wednesdays 8am to 8pm
- Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30am to 8am
Our patients are also able to book an appointment on a Saturday morning at Leatside Surgery, Totnes or in the afternoon at Albany House surgery, Newton Abbot. There are GP appointments available and nurse appointments for certain treatments. To book an appointment in one of these Saturday clinics please contact reception.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Please tell us:
- If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
- If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face or by text or email.
- If you need an interpreter.
- If you have any other access or communication needs.
For non-medical requests:
- fill in an online form. Your form will be viewed by a GP and will be forwarded to the relevant staff member for actioning.
